I used to be able to install apps without signing in using my Apple password (which is long and complex and a pain in the *** to type in). Maybe it used FaceID before or nothing at all. How do I go back to not having to type in my secure password every time I want to download a free app?
If you can't choose None as a payment method only if...
If you can't make purchases or update apps, including free apps, you need to update your payment method or add a new one. If you already verified that a payment method is available in your country or region and you're still having trouble, learn more.
Thanks for the quick reply. I think my credit card expired, so I fixed that. Not sure if that was the issue because now all my apps are up to date. Guess I will find out next time I try to install a new app.
