Final Cut Pro Version 10.6 Errror - The XML document could not be imported. DTD version is not recognized.

Hey, so my Final Cut Pro recently automatically upgraded to the new 10.6 version and now I'm facing issues importing my normal synced video files from PluralEyes 4. It keeps giving me the error "The XML document could not be imported. DTD version is not recognized."

I'm assuming that the new 10.6 patch notes saying "Updates FCPXML to version 1.10 with new bundle format." has something to do with my import not being recognized anymore. Maybe I need to go and downgrade it from version 1.10 to version 1.09 if thats what the previous version was?

I never faced this issue till it upgraded to 10.6, if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

So I found the solution after spending a long time looking for it.

Open your xml on a editor text and change the version of Final Cut to a actually version.

For example:

My xml had the 1.4 version and I edited it to <fcpxml version="1.10">

After change save and it's done!

Hello, this question of why not using the final cut pro tool itself is viable but in my case I use 2 different cameras with several takes on each camera and 3 more audio recorders, pluraleyes does the sync job fast and well, the final cut pro takes a long time and doesn't do the job well. In the previous version the final cut always worked fine now I can't import it.

The complete xml file is attached. (Error attaching file)

Note is a wedding work

Hello there,

PluralEyes are better then you have a lot of takes. Up to 40 files still ok to create Multicam with FCPX that will create 40 different tracks. Tried to assign camera angle and keep it simple as a track per cam - had no luck. If someone knows how to make it each camera clips to stay on the same timeline - I would appreciate it and can leave PluralEyes alone :-)

I have never used it with 40 angles, but I have always seen it respect the camera angle metadata: just so long as clips that belong in the same angle have the same value for “Camera Angle”, it has always worked. Are you saying that even though you set the metadata for all clips, they do not end up where they are supposed to? If that is the case then yeah, not good.

Hello. Maybe I have to set metadata info during import, since I do not see any info in camera angle in my projects. It syncs good, but always drops clips in sync on separate timelines. It is not. Ig deal to move them up and eliminate additional angles, just time consuming. Also - PluralEyes audio drift correction option - FCPX does not.
