Iphone 12 intermittent microphone drops on FaceTime & Whatsapp Video calls

Hi, i am facing a very unique issue. My microphone keeps dropping the audio intermittently during FaceTime & Whatsapp Video calls. It doesn’t happen with every call but these days it has become very frequent.

i don’t think it to be a hardware issue as the audio works perfect during video recordings & audio calls. Also during Teams call.

neither do i think it to be a software issue as the audio starts working as soon as i switch to my AirPods whenever the other end guy complains about audio issues.

Got to know that there are many threats about it but no one really got the fix. Posting again to see if anyone really got it. Please help.
