MacBook Pro (2017, 15") Service Battery Recommendation after 39 cycles

There's an obvious issue with the battery on my barely used MBP, and I'm wondering what it is and what to do about it, if there's anything that can be done other than replacing the battery. I've reset SMC, let discharge completely and recharge, its fully updated (Big Sur 11.6)...pretty much anything that google said to do, I've done. I know there's a free battery replacement program for 2017 15" MBP, but I entered the serial and it said it wasn't applicable. Just looking for next steps here, again, if there are any.

About your problem, if you already did the steps you found on the internet li resetting SMC, NVRAM, booting into safe mode, etc. There ain't much to do beyond that.

Have you reinstalled macOS from zero for testing?

Even though it said It was not eligible to the Program, get in touch with Apple Support Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support and explain the situation. Book a visit to an Apple Store or Authorized and they'll check it.

Do not give up if you get a No at first. Insist with another attendant, maybe another Apple Store, but make sure Apple dives deep into your problem before you having to pay for a replacement.
