I thought this was a browser specific, memory issue, but it's happening also in my Mac Mail app, when writing email messages. Why does the keyboard input lag, often having to wait several seconds while it catches up, and it also will misplace letters, putting them in weird order, and not how it's being typed. This is a very frustrating issue, and shouldn't be happening, as I have plenty of RAM. What could be going on?

I did what the article said, and of course, it didn't help:
I opened Apple Menu: Keyboard, clicked input sources, selected "show input menu in menu bar", but nothing appeared, then it says to "open the input menu", WHAT INPUT MENU, WHERE??? There wasn't anything to open.... another page of advice that doesn't act like they say it should....
