Neikev2provider issue

This pop up keeps happening on my Mac. I have tried to enter the password and it won’t go away if I press allow or deny. Now I can’t access the internet. I don’t know how it happened. I updated my Mac and now have this problem. Can anyone help please? I’m not confident about downloading other apps in order to fix it. What have I done wrong?

No ! The Built-in Security of Big Sur is all that is required.

There are no known Windows-like Viruses in the wild that self replicate and affect macOS, because of the underling UNIX  Foundation and Permission Limitation.

There are Malware-viruses and Adware-viruses that does affect macOS and are often times downloaded as part of an Application from Third Party UnTrusted Site and get installed along with the Application. For that purpose >>>

Suggest downloading from a Respected ASC Contributor the application Malwarebytes for Mac. It is free or paid for added features. Run the Application and it should remove the malware / adware. Once done, restart computer and test.

Is there a Norton piece of Software installed on this computer ?

If yes, strongly suggest removing this software as per Developers Specific Instructions.

Please refer to this fast search on the ASC forums regarding anything Norton - first 600 hits indicated the issues this software will inflict on this computer https://discussions.apple.com/search?q=norton
