How do I transfer photos from my canon EoS 7d to my new macbook pro running bug sur?
There is no "7D software for downloading", but there are these:
EOS Utility and the DPP apps
I'm not a Canon shooter but I found both of these updated for Big Sur here:

and other places. DPP is out there too.
Put the card into a card reader or connect the camera directly and use Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)

Do you mean folders by date? Why not use the Canon one?
I have tried to download it, but can't on big sur.
Both the EOS Utility and the DPP apps have been updated for Big Sur. What happens when you try to download them? What prevents you?
When I look for the 7d software for downloading there is nothing.
