HomePod not connecting to home app on phone or playing apple music

"hmmm, something's up with your apple music account" was the error message. I fooled around with signing out and back in, and nothing so I figured I would remove the device from the home app and reload it. Now it wont recognize my homepod and I don't have the serial 3 for the device to add it manually. Any suggestions?

It seems like HomePod wasn't responding as expected, and you're unable to set it back up with the Home app, is that correct? We want to help.
