Keyboard Dictation Language (IOS15.0.2)

My Keyboard settings is :

  • English (US)
  • Chinese, Simplified - Handwriting
  • Emoji

Dictation Languages

  • Cantonese

When I use dictation, it displays the Traditional Chinese instead of Simplified Chinese. It seems that this problem occurred after upgraded to IOS15.0.2.

I have tried my spare iPhone 7 & iPhone 8 Plus, which are installed the IOS 15.0. The keyboard settings are same as my current iPhone (11 Pro). When I use dictation, it displays the Simplified Chinese.

P.S. Please don’t ask me to reset all my settings. My wife iPhone 11 Pro also encounters the same problem.

Yes. I did change my keyboard settings and restarted the phone. The problem still persists.

I also called the Official Apple Support and I was advised to reset all my settings. I refused to do so as I thought it is NOT working. As I mentioned before, I have checked my other spare iPhones which are running 15.0.0 and it did not have this problem. My wife’s iPhone running 15.0.2 has the similar problem. My conclusion is it is not related to my settings. I also asked the support staff whether he knew Chinese or not. He said he does not know Chinese. I asked him if he does not know Chinese how can he test the dictation and how does he know the display character is Simplified or Traditional Chinese. He promised to check with other support staff who know Chinese. Unfortunately nobody get back to me.
