M1 iMac with LG 5k External Monitor Issues.

I have my LG 5K display connected to my M1 iMac using the Thunderbolt cable that came with the monitor. I have two issues: When I wake the Mac from sleeping the LG takes about 4 seconds to wake. Is there a way to make it wake faster? And, about 70% of the time it's much dimmer than it was when the Mac went to sleep. The Display brightness setting bar is at the same setting as it was previously, and all I need to do is click the "dot" on the bar to get the display to brighten again. Is there a way to fix this?

I have an LG 32UN880-B 4K display that has deep sleep, so when I shut down my M1 mini, the display turns off but does not power completely down. I believe this is configurable through the LG display controls, but it's the way I have it now.

In the morning, when I power on the mini, the LG takes a few seconds to come out of deep sleep and by the time it does, I have the Mac mini sign-in display.

The LG 5K display may have controls that can resolve your delay, or not.

The LG 5K UltraFine display does not have any controls other than "standard" in sys prefs.

I have the same issue of the LG monitor being dimmer after waking from sleep using my Mac Mini M1. One can just use the brightness keys to readjust but I now just turn off sleep and use only screen saver and at night I auto shut down and auto start in the morning. I also have the delay from wake. Perhaps it is the LG monitor or just a Mac M1 issue.

Not putting the Mac to sleep is an option, but notification sounds keep playing, and I don't want that. I cannot finds a way to turn them off while the screen saver is running.

Intalling Monterey did not help. I called Apple support. No help at all. I called LG support. Heck they had no idea what motor I was talking about!

This is a mess which I am 99% certain is a software bug with the OS and M1 Macs since all worked fine for many years using this LG 5K display connected to my MacBook Pro.
