Why won't Apple make any effort to give us our music back? When I upgraded to a new operating system, 20 years of iTunes purchases disappeared from the iTunes store.

If the new operating system is Apple's , you may need to authorize the computer or device before re-downloading purchases from the iTunes Store . While in the music application ,
the menu bar has an option : " Authorize This Computer " .
Then sign in to the iTunes Store > go to purchased > from there , you can re-download your purchases .
