Macbook Pro M1 External Webcam

So I just recently decided to use my MBP M1 in clamshell mode with an external monitor and webcam. Everything was going smoothly until yesterday. Over the weekend, i just left my MBP on sleep mode, and turned off my power supply, however i forgot to unplug my USB-C Hub on my MBP. So eventually my laptop tuned off because I drained the battery. Now while I was working I noticed that my external webcam is not being recognized by my MBP. I tried unplugging and replugging it, tried restarting just doesn't seem to work. Any solution for this???

I know that my webcam is working perfectly fine coz I see that the power light is on, its just that my MBP can't recognize my external cam. HELPPPPP

Let's get you back to the experience you were having with that external webcam.

You mentioned this began after your Mac was put to sleep, but you also mentioned that you've restarted your Mac, along with unplugging/plugging the webcam. Those are all great steps so far!

To continue, we'd like to further rule out some possible causes:

Any issues if you plug in a different accessory using the same port as your external webcam?
How about testing the built-in webcam?
While the latest version is macOS Monterey 12.0.1, the latest for your currently installed OS is macOS Big Sur 11.6.1. Which version number is currently installed? You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’.
Have you been able to test a different port on your Mac?
What about testing the external webcam on a different computer?
