Can't edit portrait mode on my mac (but can on my phone)

I'm not able to edit portrait mode settings in Photos on my M1 macbook air, but can edit those settings on my phone. Photos shows the "PORTRAIT" tag in the upper left of the image, but when I go into editing mode, there are no controls to adjust the portrait effects. Everything is up to date in terms of software and I can't find any other settings to adjust.

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

Is this an Iphone 13? If so you will need to update to Monterey released today I believe.

Ah ha! I just updated today and you are correct. With Monterey I can now edit the Portrait settings on my mac. Really wish they had a way to tell you that. 🙄
