Can I upgrade RAM and Memory
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.5
Hi DjrFortune,
Short answer: no.
If your MacBook Air has the M1 chip, the RAM (memory) is directly part of the M1 SoC, built directly into the package.
If your MacBook Air has an Intel processor, the RAM (memory) is soldered directly to the main logic board.
The SSD (storage) in your MacBook Air is also soldered directly to the main logic board. That said, you can "upgrade" storage by utilizing external drives.
