I have an iPhone 8 Plus and want to move all data from it to my new iPhone 13. Do I take the SIM card out of the 8plus?

Check if the new iPhone has a SIM card: Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone

If not, the nano SIM from the iPhone 8 Plus should fit the new iPhone 13.

If so, you should be able to activate it walking through the set up.
