After updating to iOS 15.1, Voice & Data is missing. How can I switch between LTE and 4g now?
Ok, I can confirm that this has to do with AT&T, not IOS, and that it’s because the 3g network is being shutdown.
I had them change my plan to a 5g plan and once that was done I got the menu “Voice & Data to show up and it gave me the choice between 5g and LTE.
I than had them change my plan back to one that does not have 5g and the menu, “Voice & Data” was removed.
Everybody you know that can switch back to 4g must not be updated to 15.1. It is an AT&T issue. The menu’s under cellular are produced by the carrier not apple.
You know what…you’re right. I thought those menus were produced by Apple. My apologies.
Will AT&T be able to fix this? I don’t have a 5G iPhone like the OP.

I explained to you who's issue this is. It is your cellular carrier. They control those settings on the iPhone. Can you understand that? Apple does not control it with their iOS, or the hardware.

They aren’t taking down LTE. It you are god on LTE you will continue to have that
I was good on that, but I don’t I don’t have the Voice & Data option anymore, so now I’ve had poor connection on 5g.
Does it say 5G or 5Ge
It says 5Ge in the top right corner, but the Voice & Data option is gone and that’s what I need back to go back to LTE. What’s the difference between 5G and 5Ge?
It is only carrier if you have 5G available. My wife and I have identical phones, she didn’t do the update, I did. She still has 4G, I can only access LTE.
You are barking up the wrong tree. This has nothing to do with Apple and everything to do with your wireless provider. do research before spreading false information.
Yes. You will be trading only to use the phone on 3G/4G for less than 4 weeks.
Is it just me or did AT&T recently improve their LTE (5G Edge) service? I am getting better service at work now with my iPhone 11 Pro Max.
