iOS 15.1 Calendar app is laggy and unreliable

Deleting the calendar app and reinstalling it worked for me, for at least one full day. Just had to change the default calendar colors to what I used before with three different calendar accounts.

The issue that this thread is about, the calendar lagging in iOs 15.1 has been fixed by the subsequent releases.

If you are running a later version of iOS than 15.1 and having a problem, you should start your own thread. You're more likely to get help that way than you are just pending a response on to this rather long and old thread.

You should also let Apple know you have this different problem either by leaving feedback:

I was using both my enterprise calendar and gmail. Deleted enterprise and all is fine. Will use the Outlook app instead as that has come a long way and actually better anyway.

Same issue with iPhone 8, calendar and exchange completely jammed. Removing exchange, calendar works again. iOS 15.1 in use.

Tried deleting the app, reinstalled and all issues went away instantly

I found a temporary workaround. Change the calendar view from the day to the month view, then go back to the day. All the details for the day become corrected.

I got an issue same as everyone. So, I deleted and re-install calendar app. The problem is gone now.

Got iOS15.2 offered for my iPhone6s.

Bug was fixed with iOS15.2. Calendar now works fine :)

IOS a update 15.2 seems to have resolved this laggy unreliable iCal issue. Do hope not to have to return to this again. Thank you Apple.

I had this issue with 15.0 and 15.1. I’m on 15.2 and I don’t have the problem anymore. It’s still a bit laggy for me, but much improved where I can live with it.
