The sound of keyboard clicks on iPad Pro 2018 11 "and 12.5" and models disappeared.

The sound of keyboard clicks on iPad Pro 2018 11 "and 12.5" and models disappeared. Apple Magic Keyboard is connected to both devices (for 11 and 12.5 iPad Pro models, respectively). When I disconnect the Apple Magic Keyboard from my devices, the on-screen keyboard click sound is played when I enter characters on the on-screen keyboard. Also, the keyboard click sound is played when the Apple Magic Keyboard is connected and the on-screen keyboard is invoked. Those. I do not hear the sound of keyboard clicks when I press keys on the Apple Magic Keyboard anywhere on iPadOS where you can enter text (Notes, Messages, Search, Safari, and any other application).

The sound disappeared after updating to iPadOS 15. The versions were updated from 15.0.1 - 15.0.2 - 15.1. On none of the iPadOS versions, on both devices, the sound of keyboard clicks was not restored. In Settings - Sounds - Keyboard clicks, the switch is active and on.

Hello PavelAY,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, your Magic Keyboard isn't clicking when you type on your iPad Pros. We'll do our best to assist.

It sounds as though the settings for the keyboard clicks are set up correctly, it's just not working for you right now.

If you haven't yet, try to restart your iPad: Restart your iPad

Should it continue, have you tried to remove the Magic Keyboard and add it back again in Settings > Bluetooth?

Hoping to hear back, take care.

Hey PavelAY,

We see what you mean. Did you happen to restore from a backup or set it up as new after restoring to factory settings? Did you sign in with iCloud?

If you restored from a backup, it could have brought the issue back. You could try to Reset All Settings, using Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings. Doing this step will set all settings back to default on the device, so you'll have to set them back up again.

Should the issue continue, then you'd want to contact Apple directly: Get Support

Wishing you well, take care.

Of course, I overloaded both iPads many times (it is no coincidence that I mentioned the iPadOS update), of course, I repeatedly disconnected and connected the Magic Keyboard. Reset the network settings, completely reset both devices to factory settings. Of course, all these elementary actions did not lead to the sound of keyboard clicks. Probably a problem in iPadOS 15 itself. Do you have any other solutions to the problem?

Hello, destiny241.

Thanks for your quick answer!

If you have read my answer carefully, you may have noticed that I have reset to the factory settings both devices. I’m repeat again - reset to the factory settings: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset all settings. And I was not restore the devices from a backups. And the problem of playing the sound of keystrokes has not disappeared anywhere. And at the same time, when closing, the lock sound is played. Probably the problem lies in the iPadOS 15 itself. Do you have any other solutions to the problem other than those proposed, which have long been known to everyone and do not work?
