Video lag on chrome and heating up
After updating to Monterey videos played using Google Chrome lags and as long as the chrome is open it heats up the MacBook way higher than before. Anyone going through the same issue ?

I use chrome all the time and yes, it takes up huge amount of ram and heats up the system a bit. But after this OS update even if all the tabs are closed the temperate doesn't seem to come down it cools down only after quitting the chrome and that wasn't the case with the Big Sur. I'm not sure maybe google has to update its browser?
Just for further reference.
An update is from within the existing version of macOS ie: Big Sur 11.5.2 to Big Sur 11.6.1.
An upGrade is moving from Big Sur to Monterey.
And Yes, perhaps best to verify with the Developer of this application for an update / upgrade to Chrome specifically designed and compatible with Monterey
Google Chrome - though many use it - is reported to use 10x the amount of Ram and Resources than the native Safari and may be a contributing factor to the Heating issue.
