I went to calendar settings and found that sync is set to all events. Changed it to two weeks. Immediately the slowness issue got resolved.

This is affecting all iPhones and all calendar types, outlook, Exchange, gmail etc. I cannot believe that this bug made it through Apples QA, and he fact that Apple gives crappy “ do factory reset” is disgraceful. It’s a bug FIX IT and release update. Calendar is one of the most important tools since many of us have many calendars and the phone makes it easy to see all in one screen.

come on Apple 🙁

I don't think this is really true.

When I switched my iPad and iPhone Calendar and Contact apps from Apple to Google apps everything works perfectly. In the iOS apps at first view, everything is incorrect (wrong dates and events) and slowly the calendar will update, the data is all there with the correct metadata. It's a network data pull issue (sloppy code, no regression testing)

This is simply really TERRIBLE QA on Apple's part.

As a Tech Lead / Program Manager with 15+ years experience, this is inexcusable. Apple tells people to restart devices, delete apps and re-install them. As one other commenter put it when told this at "Genius Bar", I would have expected that nonsense from Microsoft, not Apple. Sorry Apple this is a #fail

In addition, the iPad home screen widgets are also screwed up in 15.1, photos not available, cannot add new ones, again sloppy coding

I upgraded to 13 Pro Max, same issue from scratch. My colleague had no issues and then it started acting up like mine. He has a 12. There doesn’t seem to be a common denominator in all of this except for Exchange. All the advice received from Apple did not work. I guess that Apple needs millions of pi$$5d off users to solve the issue. It is very disappointing.
