Keynote on Catalina

• Open the Mac App Store Application
• Sign in by clicking the sign in button bottom left using the same Apple ID you used to instal keynote previously
• Click on the button bottom left showing your user name
• go down the page and click the cloud icon next to Keynote
• A prompt will ask if you want to download the last compatible version
• Click the download button

Click on the "get" button next to the Keynote entry in App Store

An option to download a compatible version of Keynote should appear

If you have never installed Keynote from the App Store using your Apple ID, the procedure described in this discussion will not work until you "purchase at no cost", Keynote.

For your, situation, try the following:

• get access to a Mac that has Mac OS Monterey installed
• open the App Store and sign in
• Type in Keynote in the Search box then click the download button
• Once installed, delete Keynote and sign out of the App Store
• Keynote is now registered with your Apple ID
• On your own Mac, sign in to the App Store and perform the procedure I described above

click on my name, the Keynote application isn't there at all. Is there a workaround?

That means you have not previously installed Keynote

Open the Mac App store

in the search box type in Keynote

in the results window click on the Get button for Keynote

follow any further instructions

App store tell me, that i need latest version MAC OS 11. How can i solve this?

Hi Gary, I am also trying to download a compatible version of Keynote from Catalina. However when I sign in with the only apple id Iv'e ever had and click on my name, the Keynote application isn't there at all. Is there a workaround?

I still don't get an option to get an old version. I never got it originally I guess. I have Catalina 's latest IOS. Going into the app store doesn't give me the option to get old version because I never purchased it in the past. Any other options?

As we have no information about your specific circumstances we can't help unless you supply the following:

• exact model of Mac from the Apple menu
• Mas OS installed
• Keynote version installed
• whether you have installed a previous version of Keynote and what that version was

Hi Gary,

I have updated my 2015 MacBook Pro from El Capitan to Catalina.

However, I cant update Keynote, Pages, and Numbers and am stuck with the old versions.

In App-Store, I clicked on my name and scrolled down.

But there is no update button or any cloud icon next to it for me.

The "open" button brings me back to open my old versions.

how do I get into updates?

Thanks for the response. It says I'm required to update but I like the version I have. Do you know if there's a place to download an older compatible version?
