Handwritten notes disappeared during handoff

Hello.

I just got an iPad Air 4 running ipadOS 15.

I have been writing heaps of handwritten notes in the Notes app with my Apple Pencil 2.

As I was handing off hours and hours of work to my iMac 2017 running Catalina 10.15.7, i look back at my iPad and everything is gone. The actual note file isnt there anymore and its parent folder is empty.

I have of course searched for it, looked for it manually on all my devices. Including the newly deleted folder. Checked icloud.com and there the parent folder isnt even showing.

Does anybody have any idea if it is retrievable?

Guess this is the new "the dog ate my homework".

Help please.
