Query about Image Capture and Photos app popping up

Hi Team,

I'm writing this on behalf of my colleague. We have been provided with iMacs & Macbooks in the company where we work in. My colleague recently plugged in his Android phone for charging and he suddenly noticed that Image capture and Photos application had popped up with his personal photos. There was no transfer of photos done to the mac. My colleague however is now worried about any traces from his personal device on mac. I googled and asked him to clear quicklook thumbnail caches which get created when pictures are viewed in finder. In this case, pictures from his device just popped up in photos and image capture app. He however immediately plugged it out as the mac is an official system. Any advice on whether there would be any caches/traces being created if just photos app & image capture application opened by itself and no transfer of pictures done? Are thumbnail caches created here as no pictures were viewed in finder? Please advise if anything needs to be cleared.
