how do you access a QR code from the Health app?

I have the Health app and when I scan a QR code with my iPhone camera, it takes me to the Health app page on the Apple web site in Safari, implying that the Health app has some QR capability. But I can't find it in the app.

Hey there, and welcome to Apple Support Communities BostonGarden,

From our understanding, you are inquiring if the Health app has QR code capabilities. We can certainly understand your concern and see you came to us from the article Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch.

To answer your question, yes the Health app has some features that will allow QR code scans. We recommend checking out this link for more information on downloading health records to your Health app and how to scan QR codes so everything matches up: Download health records in Health on iPhone - Apple Support and Scan a QR code with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Please keeping in mind your health organization might not appear in this feature. Organizations are added frequently. See the Apple Support article Institutions that support health records on iPhone and iPod touch.

Let us know if that helps and kindest regards!

Hi, thanks for your response. While the links you sent were somewhat related to my question, they did not answer the question. So you told me how to download health records from my health institution to the Health app, and you told me how to scan a general QR code with my iPhone.

Neither of those was my question, which I repeat: how do I download the information from a QR code to the Health app?

Thanks for you answer, Nicholas_B2. I spent a lot of time on chat with Apple yesterday and am very disappointed in their customer service. (My feedback questionnaire made that very clear.)

It appears that the ONLY way to contact Health Support team is by telephone to their 800 number. Since I am traveling international I do not have access to 800 numbers other than as an expensive international long distance call from my US mobile. They flat out refused to contact by email, WhatsApp, Zoom or Skype. Again, very disappointed.
