MacOS Monterey's dynamic wallpaper isn't working

Hello Apple community! So I noticed that Monterey's default dynamic wallpaper isn't working. When I click "dark," nothing changes. When I click "light," it changes to light like normal. When I click "dynamic," it is stuck on one image and doesn't change over time. The same applies to other dynamic wallpapers.

I updated to the latest 12.0.1, restarted multiple times, but it still doesn't work.

I'm wondering if anyone else is facing the same issue?

Found something similar when I tried to re-activate Big Sur dynamic wallpaper. Found the issue that fixed it for me was to click on the cloud icon on the preview photo (forces download of files to local machine) and that appears to fix the problem as now I see the time-dependent view of the Big Sur coast the way my wife prefers from the previous Big Sur OS.
