Greetings JackieBlueRobinson,
We're happy to help out in Apple Support Communities.
To help us rule out potential causes, we'd like to start by confirming which model of iPhone it is that you have. If you're unsure, here's how to check:
Identify your iPhone model - Apple Support
The reason why we ask is that Portrait mode is only available on specific models of iPhone, as outlined in the support article that you previously viewed:
Use Portrait mode on your iPhone - Apple Support
"These iPhone models support Portrait mode: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone 7 Plus."
If you have one of the supported models of iPhone listed above, could you tell us which one? Was Portrait mode previously available on this device?
We look forward to hearing back from you.
Take care!
Thank you so much for replying to my message.
I did notice after reading the article that my phone is not listed in the phones with the portrait compatibility😔
I have a standard iPhone 8.
Apple products are my go to and maybe in the near future I will upgrade because I do love the portrait feature on the camera.
God Bless! 🎃👻
