Just received my HomePod mini. Sounds great. A little disappointed that it won't just play BBC Radio channels unless I airplay from my iPhone using the BBC Sounds App. However I can live with that. What I can't live with is about a 2 second delay in the sound when using any video conferencing app on my Mac: FaceTime, MS Teams and Zoom all have a terrible delay which causes really bad eco for others on the call.
I am running Monterrey Mac OS 12.0.1
Unfortunately the delay seems to be a feature of AirPlay 2. Use Feedback - HomePod - Apple to let Apple know you'd like HomePod to handle live audio without lag.
