I installed Monterey on my M1 macbook air and in the drop down menu in system preferences it doesn't show Erase all contents. Why is that? What I am doing wrong? It's the latest version of the OS.
Don't know why it isn't there but the following suggests options.

Is your Mac managed by your employer? If it is, your employer can remove the option to Erase All Content and Settings via MDM.
Maybe I wasnt clear, I am sorry if that was the case. I have an Macbook Air M1, I have the latest OS installed on it. In fact did it today, Those options have nothing to do with my computer, there is a bug of some sort. This is what happens when there is this need to put out a new OS every year.
