Macbook 2019 i9 4000+ euros machine unacceptable low performance due to throttling caused of poor thermal management
I have been struggling for several months with the unreasonably highly praised Macbook pro 2019 trying to work with a dysfunctional thermal management. I have one of the most expensive models of the 2019 series, the one with the i9 and the 64 RAM.
The performance of the i9 on the body of a MacBook pro 2019 is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The thermal management of the apple is completely dysfunctional for the i9 Intel CPU, as it cannot handle the performance.
In short, the extra money spend in CPU are a false promise as after few seconds, a kernel_task blocks every process by increasing a dummy process to more than 1000%. The computer becomes unusable unless you turn it off or use an external fan (for humans) to the maximum. The event is completely grotesque, to see a premium MacBook of 4000+ euros only able to cool down by a 30€ big fan.
In addition, if you try adding an external screen and leave the native screen on, the computer becomes instantly unusable again from throttling. It distributes each screen to the two GPUs and increases the voltage and the heating making it impossible even to use a word processor.
The only solution for using external monitors is to close the lid (and make inaccessible the expensive screen and the touch bar that none asked for it) and use an external fan.
I have seen a lot of people struggling and the media still talks about the i7 I guess after testing it by watching a cool slow motion movie of someone eating an apple.
This computer is complete garbage for doing actual work of Music and media producing.
In addition the native GPU have failed making the computer an overpriced desktop. I will report this separately
Any insight out there? Any solutions?
i have lost so much time trying to solve it and I cannot afford to give it for a repair as they are going to keep it for weeks (I already tried to do that)
Please help!
