Safari update required
I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6 and need a higher version of Safari. The App Store says no compatible updates are available. What can I do?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your Mac model is recent enough, click on Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey. Alternatively, switch to a product such as Firefox.

If, as you say, you are not able to upgrade the operating system in your computer, the best alternative is to download and install another browser such as Firefox or Chrome. They are able to be individually upgraded.
Thanks. Looks like Firefox is my only option. I don't see any used iMacs under $2K supporting iOS 12.

You are welcome. That's why we are here for. Incidentally, a lot of us use more than one browser for similar reasons. I like Firefox.
