MagSafe 2 to MagSafe 3 converter

Will there be a MagSafe 2 to MagSafe 3 adapter like for the previous generation of MagSafe? I have a 67w MagSafe 2 charger that I’d like to use as a travel charger for my 14 inch M1 pro that’s arriving soon.

In my opinion:

The new MagSafe-3 uses a more sophisticated power negotiation, probably more similar to USB Power Delivery than the original very simple 'MagSafe power negotiation' which in some ways served a prototype for USB Power Delivery Protocol.

So they made it a different shape on purpose. It has no hope of working with the older MagSafe and MagSafe-2 power adapters, which were cross-compatible with each other and an adapter was available.

I would love to have such an adaptor too!

i own several 85W MagSafe 2 chargers from my 2014 15“ retina, and would love to still use them! Probably charging speed wouldn’t be as good, but even just as a docking station for my new 16“, so I can plug it in at different workstations without everytime having to take out the charger and pluging it into a socket!
