No audio after tvOS 15.1 update from 15.0

The sound is suddenly gone from the tvOS 15.4.1. no sound will come from the TV. I am able to get sound connecting the tvOS to my laptop. I read that there is a problem with older tvOS 15.1 being incompatible with some TV audio. Can you tell me if the 15.4.1 has the same issue with audio devices? Is there anyway I can downgrade the tvOS to get the audio back? Thanks.

Same issue with AppleTV 4K Gen1. Of course, no ability to downgrade to 15.0, so we now own a paperweight.

No audio at all with this update. Just trying to get plain stereo through hdmi. Has been working fine for two years.

Yes, that's what I've confirmed as well. 15.1 as well as 15.1.1 both have the issue. Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR805

Volume did nothing for me. The receiver reports "no audio sync"

Same here, I'm using a HDMI Switch with optical audio output (connected to a Sonos Playbar), since 15.1 no sound.

I have the exact same setup except my extractor outputs to a Mark Levinson DA Converter. It tells me no audio signal is being received.

But then you have stereo or? Who wants that 😬

Thanks for the recommendation, but I tried every combination of settings, including changing that setting, to no avail.

That's actually not correct, at least in my case. I had no audio problems up to and including 15.0, but the update to 15.1 caused my audio outage. 15.1.1 is the same as well.
