I have updated my 2019 MacBook Pro to macOS Monterey and when I try to open up Final Cut Pro, it does not load and provides me with a blank and the spinning wheel? Is this an operating software issue or is it my laptop?

Try completely uninstalling cmm. You have to follow their instructions for doing it. It is NOT enough to drag it to the trash.
In addition, you also have Chrome - a well known enemy of video and professional applications.
Completely uninstall Chrome and its "keystone" daemons and agents - see https://chromeisbad.com for why and how.
Once you have done that, you will need to drag FCP to the trash, and download a fresh copy from the App Store.
After reading all replies around the web I didn't find a solution.
MacBook Pro 2018 (not M1) with Monterey clean installation, FCP 10.6.1 and after the first success editing, now I can't see the Video Preview into the Viewer.
I start Playback and I listen audio and can't see video into Viewer.
I've already Deleted Preferences, deleted the App and re-installed, make new Libraries, nothing changes.
No libraries or Timelines or Projects works properly.
Someone has found a solution with FCP 10.6.1 and Monterey?

I redownloaded it after it stopped working for a few times and it still doesn't work. I am currently on FCP 10.6
Exactly, it takes me about four minutes to open up FCP 10.6 all I get is spinning Beachball.
Same here, but apparently we are the only ones!
Well unfortunately force quitting is now my only way I can now close my projects so hopefully a fix comes along soon.
And its more than just slow loading!!!

It depends on the system and especially the media.
Unfortunately it is happening with all my projects regardless of the type of media.
Is that even possible?
