Hi. I'm unable to connect my iPhone (iOS 15.1) to my Mac Mini M1 (MacOS 12.0.1). The initial pairing seems to work as the code verification pops up on both the iPhone and the Mac, however it never actually connects and I get the following message:
Connection Unsuccessful
"Name of my device" is not supported.
Forget Device (button)
Has anyone run into same issue?

I'm not sure it has anything to do with iCloud.
My iMac M1 will not connect to my iPad or iPhone nor will it allow my iMac to unlock using my Apple Watch. This all seems to have been a problem since the 12.1 update.
In the Bluetooth settings on the iMac I can pair the iPad and iPhone but both immediately go to 'not connected', if I then select 'connect' it shows connected for around 2 seconds and drops back to 'not connected'. Clicking the option to unlock the iMac with my watch leaves it twirling for a while before becoming unchecked again. (The watch and the iPhone are paired with each other with no problems)
This is becoming frustrating.
Of course it has to be a supported function it's a basic premise of simple comms protocols between devices AND more especially for Apple as they are moving ever closer to bring IOS and MacOS together as a unified OS interface. The closer synergy between IOS and MacOS is even more apparent in Ventura
Hi Randy Maynard1, I have the same problem. Since getting my iPhone 14 Pro Max my Apple Watch will not unlock my 2018 Mac Mini. The feature use to work flawlessly with my iPhone 6s+. I also came to this discussion because I thought that perhaps the "Unlock my Mac with Apple Watch" feature required the iPhone that is associated with the Apple Watch to be Bluetooth paired to my Mac when initially setting up the feature on my Watch.

No, it does not require any BT pairing.
I finally got mine working again.... can't recall for sure what I did, but *I think* the solution was I had to log out of iCloud and then log back in on my computer... or maybe it was the watch? I think computer though.

Apple doesn't monitor this forum. It's more of a "helping others" community.
I suggest that everyone affected submit a bug report at the iPhone feedback site:
Bluetooth is required to identify devices using Airdrop then uses WiFi to complete the file transfer.

Can you confirm if "Debug" comes up using Monterey? I get the advanced menu when following your steps but there's no "Debug" menu item that appears.
So I tried resetting with terminal using "sudo pkill bluetoothd" and could see that it reset both my mouse and keyboard however I'm still getting the same issue when trying to pair my iPhone.
Useless. No debug. No drop down menu. Apple bad!
Resetting the Bluetooth Module as above via the CLI did not fix the issue for me. iPhone 12 on iOS 15.2 cannot connect to Bluetooth on Monterey 12.1

It's not just affecting my Bluetooth. This is also affecting my iPad and iPhones' abilities to connect to my MacBook as a Keynote Remote, also.
