Teachers can't view student screens in Apple Classroom

Our devices are all iPads, primarily (or exclusively, not sure) 8th generation. We use Apple School Manager and JAMF School. Student devices are supervised in JAMF. Classes are created in Apple School Manager and synced to JAMF. Under "Restrictions" on our JAMF profile, we have checked the following boxes:

    • Allow Classroom to perform View Screen without prompting for admin-created classes for iOS 10 or earlier
    • Allow Classroom to lock to an app and lock the device without prompting
    • Automatically join Classroom classes without prompting
    • Require teacher permission to leave teacher-created classes in Apple's Classroom app

When a teacher selects "View Screen" in Apple Classroom, they are shown a pair of crossed out binoculars. Students do not receive any prompts on their own device when this happens.

Any help would be appreciated!
