unable to join a Teams meeting on MacBook Pro

Why am I unable to join a Teams meeting on my MacBook Pro? I can join the meeting on my iPad, but that is definitely a handicap

Windows, Windows 6

No, that is not the issue. Teams has all of the needed permissions on my MacBook Pro. I have deleted and reinstalled Teams a few times, rebooted the Mac, etc. All the normal actions that many have suggested with no resolution. Here is the error message I get every time. This appears to be a long time and ongoing issue with Teams on Macs, and even on Windows machines that has been a problem for years as noted in numerous complaints by users.

One issue users frequently encounter is that they have not given the teams software permission to use the camera and microphone

System preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy

... 'then authorize in succession both camera and microphone for that software.

If that is not your issue, please try to explain more fully exactly what IS the issue. Do you get an error message? what is the wording, exactly?
