This will be the third version of this question

where is the Java 6 download as per support pages.

And please do not show those previous answers

because anyone who has tried them know they do not work

except as a tiresome whirly girly.

Safari on Yosemite gives a better picture

"Too many redirects occurred trying to open “https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en-us&viewlocale=en_US”.

This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page

which then is redirected to open the original page."

In other words, the official Apple support page goes

round and

round and

round and ...

and never delivers what it promises.

I don't doubt you're having issues accessing the page, but I am not. It instantly opened earlier in Safari on my Mac under Big Sur. I went to the page again just now on my iPad. Same thing. The page opened instantly and showed what I expected to see.

Did BDAqua's notes help at all? That is, do you have what most here consider garbage apps running? What about an ad blocker? I recently tried Block Bear just to see why it was getting so much attention. It stunk. It blocked so many legitimate sites from opening I dumped it after less than 10 minutes of testing and went back to Ka-Block!, which I've never had problems with.

Besides a different browser, have you tried booting into Safe Mode and accessing the page?
