Hi,
Just upgraded from Big Sur to Monterey on my iMac Pro and discovered that all my eps-files doesn't show any icon preview anymore, just a generic eps icon. I have tried to open one of them in the latest Adobe Illustrator 2022 and saved it again - but still no icon preview. Restart doesn't help either!
Is this a bug or am I the only one with this issue?
As an illustrator, this is really frustrating.

Hasn't worked for me, the other users work around worked for me straight away though, just renaming the .eps extension to .ai and the thumbnail shows up straight away and opens as it should in Photoshop etc.
Still nothing for this? I'm a graphic designer and use EPS files a LOT, it's getting really annoying having to open each one to see what it is.

Same exactly issue here. No icon preview on EPS files since the upgrade to OS Monterey. It's very annoying.

Added the string to line 17 as shown in the screenshot below. Restarted the Mac but still no icon preview or quicklook 😩
Well, the solution editing the Quicklook plist file and booting into Safe Mode didn't work very long for me. New EPS files have the same issue like before - I thought I have solved it....bummer!

Same issue here, that is so annoying!
I'm using the 2021 Macbook Pro, so downgrading MacOS is not an option...

I've tried that workaround, but unfortunately, the Illustrator.qlgenerator file is missing in my Library/QuickLook folder.

Great tip! Finally worked for me to! Now all my eps files are "quicklookable" Hand down for this!!!!
It works, but it's a temporary solution. Every time Adobe updates their apps, it stops working and you need to do it all over again.
Apple really needs to fix this annoying issue!

Copying the file back into the /System/Library/QuickLook folder is blocked, so how did you accomplish that?
