Charging pattern of MacBook Pro M1 13 inches [2020 model - A2338] to keep up good battery health
This question is all about MacBook Pro M1 13 inches [2020 model - A2338]
- Can I keep the Mac plugged in while using it for a long time/ while doing some intensive tasks / while doing the day-to-day work, I mean the full day?
- Would rapid discharging of the battery reduce the battery life? Say, I am using my Mac for day-to-day work, and my charging pattern is, I will charge it until 95% to 100%, unplug it and use it until it drains to 20%, and charge it again till 100%.
- Only sometimes, the charging status icon is showing the Power Adapter symbol (Plug icon) although it's showing the Power source is from Power Adapter when the battery is 100%.
- Can I keep the charger plugged in, with the 100% battery percentage, for a longer duration, say I am on my day-to-day work, and I am starting the work in the morning with 80% battery till night 9 PM or more?
Please provide some advice to keep up the battery health in the long run.
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6
