Once I place an AirTag in a wallet or bag it becomes almost impossible to hear it. Is there anyway to make them louder? Seems like this is a big flaw. Especially when you consider how loud rival (tile) devices are.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to adjust the volume. You can let Apple know your thoughts here:
I’ve just measured the sound from 1.5meters away with the AirTag in my wallet on top of a table. It came to 40db at the loudest point. And 61db when it’s outside of my wallet. If I’ve lost my wallet in a bar. There’s no way I’m going to find it. Especially as the precision thing isn’t really accurate.

why do I get the feeling apple have left this to one tone at one volume on purpose so version two could be “set your own tone and increase volume” surely AirTags needed to be loud enough so you could hear the tone in a crowded room. Currently I can barely hear it when it’s in my wallet.
