Apple Watch SE Control Center not working

A few days ago, I noticed that I could no longer access the Notification Shade or Control Center on my Apple Watch SE. I cannot access either of them by swiping up or down from the watch face. It does nothing. All of the other touch controls work fine, and I can even swipe left and right to change watch faces, but I cannot access the Notification Shade or Control Center from my watch face. I tried holding down the bottom and accessing it from another app, but I have had no luck so far. I have not updated it yet, and it is still running Watch OS 8.0. Any advice would be much appreciated.
