My iWatch se won’t update to iOS 8.1

My iWatch se won’t update to iOS 8.1, I’ve done all the steps listed in the support page still wont work. It keeps telling me that the watch needs to be on its charger and at least 50% battery. Has anyone else had this problem

Hello SteveESB,

I don't know what steps did You do, but did you try Hard reset the Watch?

Press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds.
Release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

After that, check if its paired with your iPhone, put Watch on its charger and initiate update from Watch.app on iPhone
