Mail:Preferences:Rules

This is a bit peculiar, at least to me. For years I’ve, through Mail:Rules, had my mail sent to specific folders and in all that time it’s worked perfectly. Now, however a handful of emails will no longer move automatically while others move just as they always have.

I’m afraid it’s a situation where I’ve looked around for a problem for so long that I would no longer be able to see it even if it was right in front of my nose. So I need someone to tell me what the problem MIGHT be.

If you don’t have the info. that’s needed to make suggestions tell me what you need to see and I’ll do my best to get that for you. In advance thanks.

Hello curly1,

Mail is a great application, and ensuring that rules are working as expected is important. Apple Support Communities is a great place for help! Since noticing that the rules aren’t consistent with sending emails to the designated folders, have you tried deleting and recreating the rules? If not, this is a great step that may help with reaching resolution. You can find the steps for editing rules in the following article.

Thanks-it's always good to have a band-aid to apply even if it doesn't really tell me what is/was wrong.
