Hotspot showing incorrect data usage

Hi. I was playing Minecraft with friends on a LAN server using my personal hotspot.

We were playing for about 4 hours

the same day I check my cellular settings to see how much data I used and it said I used about 3.5 gb which is fine.

but when I went in to the more detailed part to see how much each device used it says I used much more ! Like a lot more. Here are some screen shots

anyone know which one is the right amount? The 3.5 gb or the 50 gb

Hello chaim195,

Apple Support Communities is a great place for help with the Personal Hotspot usage on your iPhone. From the description you provided it sounds as though you’re seeing more usage when tapping on Personal Hotspot beneath the current billing cycle in Settings > Cellular.

Since noticing the variance in usage have you restarted the iPhone? If you haven’t restarted please do so using the steps in the following article.

Restart your iPhone

If the usage doesn’t appear to be the same the next step would be to confirm you’re running the latest iOS.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know how that goes!
