Can not change old voicemail message

Hi, no matter what me and my wife try we can not change the old voicemail messages on our iPhones.

Despite recording and saving a new custom message, the old one continues to play. The voice message can not be changed to default either.

I have tried updating the phone, deleting all old messages, resetting network settings, turning off wifi. The same problem is happening across my iPhone XS and her 11.

Any ideas?

Hi Benandmyriam,

We see that you're not able to change your voicemail. Voicemail is controlled by the carrier. Since you've already done steps in Check your voicemail on iPhone, contact your carrier for further assistance.
