iOS 15.1 music not playing via USB & aux cord

I have the iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 15.1 installed and since the recent update I haven’t been able to play music via USB  & aux cord issue since having the the newest update. The cable will charge the iPhone and does recognize the phone is connected and displays the music file being played but only plays on phone but connecting to car. It feels like there is some issue with either the phone or iOS.

Spoke with an apple supervisor on 12/9/21 who said the same thing- music is no longer playing via usb on some cars with iOS 15.1 update. She said if you have iPhone 12 or 13 they’ve had some success with customers updating to the iOS 15.1.1. If you have an iPhone 11 like I do, they don’t anticipate an update until potentially January. So basically sounds as though for the time being we’re SOL until apple fixes the issue or updates.

Just got off the phone with Apple and they basically told me I either have to wait for the next update to see if the issue is fixed or contact my car's dealership because IOS 15 may no longer be compatible with my car which means my car needs updated. Which isn't really a great solution for me. Shouldn't be creating updates that aren't compatible.
