Apple Wallet event tickets expire - bar code disappears

This year I have season football tickets in my Apple Wallet -- an option this year for the first time ever.

Problem: On the day of the game, before the game begins, the ticket is marked "expired" -- moved to the "expired" folder. -- and the bar code is removed. When moving the tickets back to the folder -- the barcode is missing.

Why is this occurring? A problem with the ticket office's execution of the plan? Or a setting my Wallet? Or something else?

Help please.

Thanks!

Hi David Ris,

Sorry I don't know whether Apple , or the issuer, would have automatically removed the bar-code.

The is something you might want to try, though:

The Apple Support article: Remove passes from Apple Wallet

Says

"If you don't want to automatically hide your expired passes,

you can turn this feature off in Wallet & Apple Pay settings on either your iPhone or Apple Watch.

If you turn off Hide Expired Passes on one of your paired devices,

these passes won't be hidden on your other paired device either."
