American Airlines movie streaming

Using IPhone 12 with 15.0.2 and all apps updated. In previous IOS versions I had no issues watching in flight movies while on the plane. Now, I can connect to wifi as usual, I can get the app to open, I get commercials to play in safari and chrome but when it’s time for movie, it’s a black window and never actually plays. This has been on four different flights in October 2021 and with both browsers and with everything updated (I update the night before every trip). Very frustrating!! Other threads from spring and summer showing similar. Couldn’t reply in them.

We’re glad to hear you update your device frequently, and have had the opportunity to test your device on different flights. Apple has released a newer iOS version, and it is recommended to perform that update.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you continue to have issues after those steps you may want to clear the history and website data for the browsers. You can find the steps for clearing the history for both browsers in the following links.

Delete your Chrome browsing history
