Changed the name of my Trash folder...

Hi there,

I did something silly. I had deleted my Trash folder from my Dock to create more space, but then it was hard to find the Trash folder. So trying to make it easier to find, I wanted to unhide it (it is a hidden folder at /.trash in the home folder). So I deleted the . in front of the folder name...

Now I can't empty the Trash and I can't reach the folder even using the Go To Folder option in the Finder. I can move files to Trash, but I cannot then find them if I need to recover them (which is what I was trying to do when I started this, since I couldn't find the Trash to get a file back).

I realize this is a problem of my own creation but I would be grateful for any help.
