Are applecare+ replacements for apple airpod pros refurbished?

Are applecare+ replacements for apple AirPods pro refurbished? The reason I ask is because when I received my replacement for the AirPods Pro, the left pod didn’t work at all, the volume on the right pod was low when my volume was turned all the way up, and the top lid on the case was loose on the hinge. That doesn’t sound like a new pair to me, sounds and looks like a refurbished pair to me. Can anyone relate to this issue I’m having?

It is irrelevant whether the replacement AirPods were new or refurb, because you have a problem which needs to be fixed. Go back to the documentation for your AppleCare+ replacement, find your case reference and contact Apple Support to have the case re-opened as a failed service.

Thank you Branta_uk for that response. I told them my problem and they are gonna send me another replacement. I hope this time it works. I asked them why the replacement was not working and they didn’t have an answer for me. They claimed the replacement was new but it definitely wasn’t the case. I just wanna be sure that having apple care+ is worth getting for AirPods Pro because the product is really pricy and as the customer you want to have a good insurance plan for them. So I’m just hoping this time around everything will be okay. Thank you again for your response.
